My Bedroom

Media: Digital art
Materials: iPad Pro, Procreate
Year: 2023
Artists Note:
An isometric view of the inside of my bedroom. Displays the variety of objects that can be found in my living space, including my cat, Pixie, many stuffed animals, and my art workstation that has a nice view of the outdoors. I have also recreated some of the posters and artwork that adorn my walls, as well as the television that I use to watch various YouTube channels every day.
Fashion Witches

Media: Traditional art
Materials: Copic markers, Micron pens, Signo Uniball white gel pen
Year: 2024
Artists Note:
Completed as my final project for my fashion illustration course, these four witches are wearing my final fashion collection. The elements that inspired me for these outfits include moons, stars, forest plants, and coven aesthetics. I felt truly fulfilled designing these characters and the outfits each one would wear based on their role!
Accessories Fashion Design

Media: Traditional art
Materials: Copic markers, Micron pens, Signo Uniball White gel pen
Year: 2024
Artists Note:
I had the pleasure of designing matching accessories for my fashion illustration class, taking into consideration the color scheme, visual theme, and differentiating textures to create a cohesive look. Rendering this piece with this color scheme was intensely fulfilling, as I always implement visually aesthetic principles into my works and was able to truly shine in that way with this project.
2000s Inspired Outfit

Media: Traditional art
Materials: Copic markers, Micron pens, Signo Uniball White gel pen
Year: 2024
Artists Note:
An outfit I designed inspired by 2000s fashion trends, completed for my fashion illustration course. With any decade to choose from for this project, I focused on the 2000s and Y2K aesthetic because I adore the creativity in fashion of this era. The comfortability yet oddly layered and accessorized looks of this era create visually appealing outfits that I've always admired.
Goldenrod

Media: Digital art
Materials: iPad Pro, Procreate
Year: 2023
Artists Note:
A girl sits gracefully on a rock amidst the tall, swaying goldenrod stalks that surround her. To convey the transition between summer and fall, I gave the figure light clothing, indicating that it is still warm enough to wear less, and I chose a plant that primarily flourishes in the autumn months. The slight elevation of her hair indicates a cool breeze blowing through the field, and instills calmness in the viewer.
Meditations in an Emergency

Media: Traditional art
Materials: Copic markers, Micron pens, Signo Uniball White gel pen
Year: 2024
Artists Note:
Inspired by the musical showtunes written by Joe Iconis, this large pop-out displays the various talented artists that performed Iconis' "Meditations in an Emergency" show at 54 Below in the summer of 2024. I made sure that every singer performing the night that I saw the show was drawn on the board, and meeting these lovely people after the performance was thrilling as always! Seeing their faces light up when they found themselves in my art is why I make it in the first place.
Renaissance Faire Self Portrait

Media: Traditional art
Materials: Copic markers, Micron ink pens, Signo White Ball pen
Year: 2023
Artists Note:
Displays myself in the outfit I wore to the New York Renaissance Faire this year (2023). I included a cat-moth creature to represent the physical version of it that I had brought to the faire with me, as if in the mythical universe that the faire creates, I would have this creature as a pet. My family and I have enjoyed attending the faire nearly every year, and we have made it an annual tradition.
Crying Fae

Media: Traditional art
Materials: Copic markers, Micron pens, Signo Uniball White gel pen
Year: 2023
Artists Note:
Completed as a piece in my 2023 Inktober series, this work features a fae sitting alone and tearing up. Inktober is an online challenge in which participants draw a piece using only ink or grayscale media for every day of the month of October, completing the challenge with 31 pieces. I have been participating for seven years, including 2024, and plan to continue in the future.
Indulgence Still Life

Media: Traditional art
Materials: Watercolor
Year: 2024
Artists Note:
For my watercolor class, we were tasked with creating our own still life to paint from with the theme of "Indulgence," incorporating things we allow ourselves to indulge in. I included a mango and kiwi salad, crochet plushies, a Be More Chill broadway playbill, and my iced coffee in my favorite tumbler to represent the things in my life that I let myself enjoy wholeheartedly.
Caffeine Dreams - Mocha Moon

Media: Digital art
Materials: iPad Pro, Procreate
Year: 2024
Artists Note:
An album cover for a band that I created for my foundations of graphic design course. The entirely fictional band I created, Mocha Moon, released their first album called Caffeine Dreams. It features a track list of pop rock music that the band performs at the coffee shop they own together. It was a blast designing a band and their first album cover; coming up with the personalities for each band member was a welcomed challenge.
Monochromatic Self Portrait

Media: Traditional art
Materials: Acrylic paint
Year: 2023
Artists Note:
Sectioned by areas of light and shadow, varying shades of teal were applied to create a monochromatic version of an image taken of myself. Completed in my color theory course, I learned how differing shades of the same root color could be utilized to create a cohesive piece that reflects a real-world photograph.
Six-Hour Pose

Media: Traditional art
Materials: Charcoal
Year: 2023
Artists Note:
Completed in six hours, this full-body pose includes an intricate surrounding that features a taxidermy goose, lying flower pot, and bunched fabric below the seated figure. The pose invokes a feeling of calm and relaxation as the model leans backwards comfortably, her gaze drifting off the page and her legs falling effortlessly in a crossed position.
Fall Harvest

Media: Traditional art
Materials: Charcoal
Year: 2022
Artists Note:
Utilizing a portion of the whole still life, I focused in on these three pumpkins so that I could add as much detail as possible to them in the time allotted. The ways in which light and shadow reflected in the still life gave me a challenging composition to depict; the two pumpkins towards the left not only appeared lighter on top, but had a layer of reflected light that illuminated the underside. Though somewhat difficult, I feel that I accurately represented the piece as a whole and I enjoyed drawing objects that represent my favorite season of the year: autumn.
Foot Drawing

Media: Traditional art
Materials: Charcoal
Year: 2023
Artists Note:
A composition including a figure, stool, fabric, and box. I focused my piece on the leg and foot of the figure because at the angle I was positioned at, it was advantageous to be able to practice the ways in which light and shadow formed the lower half of the leg. I enjoyed how the stool interacted with the space, casting a distinct shadow that helped me practice drawing the space below the figure more accurately.
Bottles and Boxes

Media: Traditional art
Materials: Charcoal
Year: 2022
Artists Note:
A still life with various sizes of boxes, bottles, and a few clay pots. In this piece, I demonstrated my ability to zoom into the scene and choose a specific bottle to use as my focal point, omitting other sections of the display to create a compositionally sound artwork.
Curled Laying Pose

Media: Traditional art
Materials: Charcoal
Year: 2023
Artists Note:
The figure sat in a curled pose that faced away from my easel. The composition as a whole invokes a feeling of depression or sadness, and almost makes the viewer wonder whether or not the figure could be crying. Effectively conveying or inflicting an emotion is a sign of a successful work, and I am proud to acknowledge that this particular piece appears to achieve this goal.
